PENALTIES FOR SPEEDING TICKETS

PENALTIES FOR DRIVING WHILE UNDER SUSPENSION
For a first conviction of driving while suspended, penalties include:

This offence is committed when you fail to come to a full stop at a stop sign. It’s a common charge under the Highway Traffic Act. Regardless of whether the way is clear, a complete stop is required.
Penalties: 3 demerit points, $85 fine, and a conviction on your driving record for 3 years.

Driving with a non-working seatbelt or as a passenger without one doesn't result in demerit points. However, other seatbelt violations carry two demerit points. These include: not wearing or improperly wearing a seatbelt, not making sure passengers under 16 are buckled up, not securing child passengers properly, or driving with an inoperative seatbelt.
